The Marine Engineering and Research Institute (MERI) Chennai is the country’s domestic institute for the preparing of Marine Engineers. It is erstwhile famous as the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training (DMET). Infrastructure of MERI Chennai is very good like Land Area, Laboratory, Library, Workshop, Hostel, Uniform and Discipline. However, with the establishment of the Indian Maritime University in March 2009, the associations for whole courses have been moved to the IMU, which would Honours its personal degrees.
Marine Engineering and Research Institute Chennai provides a four-year Graduates Degree program in Marine Engineering admissions for which are created by the highly prestigious Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) directed through IITs.
