NACO (National AIDS Control Organisation) is a department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that offers leadership to HIV/AIDS control curriculum in the country by thirty-five HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Societies. In the year of 1992 the country’s 1st National AIDS Control curriculum was established, and NACO was established to implement the curriculum.
NACO offers leadership to HIV/AIDS Control curriculum in the country, implementing 1 National project within 1 monitoring system. State AIDS Prevention and Control Societies implement NACO curriculum at state stage, but have working freedom to upscale and innovate.
