Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT), placed in the Kumargunj town of Faizabad District, was establish in 1975 as the 3rd agricultural university of the state, with the aim of encouraging agricultural teaching in the region. It is situated 42km off Faizabad town and 110km off Lucknow, the state capital.
