The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR) was founded as an independent R & D Institution of the Department of Ocean Development (DOD) on the 25th May 1998. NCAOR also handles the Oceanic Research Vessel Sagar Kanya, the flagship of India’s fleet of oceanographic study vessels. NCAOR set up with a mission mandate that is quite challenging, the Centre is designated as the nodal organization for the co-ordination and implementation of the Indian Antarctic Programme, including the maintenance of India’s permanent station in Antarctica. NCAOR research is always committed to imparting global value, by extending the frontiers of science. National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research is invites applications for following posts for academic year 2010:

NCAOR Recruitment 2010:
1. Gnerator Operator (EE Mech) – 02 posts
2. Vehicle Mechanic (EE Mech) – 03 posts
3. Boiler/Pump Mechanic (Plumber/Fitter) – 01 post
4. Station Electrician – 03 posts
5. Vehicle Mech (Tech B/C Vehicle) – 04 posts
6. Operator Excavating Machine (Dozers & Cranes) – 01 post

Pay Scale : Rs. 15,000/- pm for the entire duration of contract for those who are going to Antarctica for the first time, Rs. 20,000/- pm for the entire duration of contract for those who already have been to Antarctica on NCAOR Contract.
