National Family Health Survey in India
The National Family Health Survey in India is a bigger-scale, multi-round survey directed in a representative sample of households throughout the country. 3 rounds of the survey have been directed since the 1st survey in the year of 1992-93. The survey offers state and domestic information for the country on fertility, infant and child mortality, the practice of family planning, maternal and child health, reproductive health, nutrition, anaemia, utilization and quality of health and family planning facilities.
Technical help for the National Family Health Survey was offered mainly through ORC Macro (USA) and other associations on specific supplies. The funding for various rounds of National Family Health Survey has been offered through USAID, DFID, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, UNFPA, and MOHFW, GOI.
