In the year of 1959 the National Tuberculosis Institute (NTI) India was launched through the Indian Govt., in the AVALON building built available through formerly Maharaja of Mysore. The institute is located at Bangalore city in Karnataka state in India. NTI India is a centre to formulate Tuberculosis (TB) Control Programme better suited to a nation like the country, where the TB trouble is big and the resources are meager.

Various training courses held by National Tuberculosis Institute Bangalore viz. Training of Trainers (TOT), STDC training, Regular RNTCP Modular Training, Training for Programme Managers, Post graduate Training, NGOs and Private Practitioner’s training, and WHO Fellowship.
