Sports Coaches training was began at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Bangalore in 1961. The Diploma Course in Sports Coaching is at present conducted at Patiala, Bangalore and Calcutta. The institute has produced coaches of high caliber and has contributed their expertise in the training of the national teams for different foreign competition. Candidate wants admission to Diploma Course in Sports Coaching shall have to get the following tests:-Theory: General Knowledge and the knowledge in the sports disciplines opted. Practical: Proficiency in skills and tactics of the specialized sports (wherever applicable).
