National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (commonly referred to as NIT Hamirpur) is a technical university situated at Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh state of India and is wholly provided by Government of India. It functions undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Engineering and Architecture and Doctor of Philosophy programme in Engineering, Sciences and Humanities. The institute places 20th in the nation and is among the 6 NITs which are in the top 20 list.
Training & Placement department was founded in this institute in the year 1995. Since then much of activities are being conveyed within the ambit of this section for the gain of students and faculty. This department is setting up placement interviews/written tests for diverse companies and assisting students to get jobs in varied organizations. The final selection is subject to accomplishing the terms and conditions remarked in the offer letters released by the companies. However, joining of students selected by an organization / company during campus interviews depends upon the student’s concerned.
