Nahtional Institute of Technology Patna is the 18th National Institute of Technology built by the Ministry of H.R.D. Government of India since rechristening the former Bihar College of Engineering Patna on 28. 01. 2004. NIT Patna marked its humble commencing in 1886 with the organization of pleaders survey training school which was after encouraged of Bihar College of Engineering Patna in 1924.

The Technical Society of NIT PATNA acts a central role in nurturing the coming technocrats and enterprisers .The basic design behind this council is to assure that there is a originative feeling in the campus which aids the coming up of both innovative solutions and ideas for jobs which stand as challenges in the spirit of science & technology.
