Introduction
North Eastern Hill University Centre For Distance Education was establish through an Act of Parliament and notified on the year 19/07/1973. North Eastern Hill University Center for Distance Education located at Shillong. North Eastern Hill University Center for Distance Education shall be to disseminate and modern knowledge through offering instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay especial attention to the betterment of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill fields of the North-Eastern area.
Facilities
North Eastern Hill University Centre For Distance Education has also founded residential complex for the faculty, hostels for boys and girls, a advanced workshop for the University Scientific Instruction Center, a building for the Regional Instrumentation Center, and Guest House-cum-Seminar Complex.
