Nursing Diploma in UK
St Bartholomew School of Nursing and Midwifery United Kingdom is offered Diplomas in nursing Program. However, diploma courses will be phased out amongst September 2011 and early 2013. For example, some universities will only provide the new degree programme from September 2011, where others will continue to provide the diploma and current degree programmes during 2011 and 2012. By September 2013, all nursing programmes will be degree-only. Diploma in nursing programmes begin with a common foundation programme which provides a general introduction to nursing, in special it prepares your observational, communication and caring skills. The Diploma in Nursing programmes are 3 years in length, starting with a 12 or 18 month common foundation programme followed by an 18 or 24 month branch programme in one of the four nursing branches: mental health, adult, learning disabilities or childrens nursing. Nurses also work in the prison service, university education, on leisure cruise ships or for the armed forces.
