A handful of reputable Institutes provide distance learning degrees in nutrition. The majority of Distance learning Nutrition courses are at the master’s level, including the Master of Science in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport and the Master of Public Health in Nutrition at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The distance learning human nutrition program includes such course topics as metabolic diseases, biochemistry of nutrition, vitamins and minerals, developmental nutrition and nutritional therapeutics. Distance education students present the results of their practicum by a PowerPoint presentation and online discussion.
