The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is a comprehensive public institution set up in 1962. In founding OAU Distance Learning, we have made on the historical strength in program development and qualified academic staff for the moderation of courses, and we also own unique experience the field of information networking technology. The OAU Distance Learning Programme expends a multimedia technology that supports electronic instructional delivery mode (e-learning), also as independent learning or correspondence.
The Obafemi Awolowo University Distance Learning is curriculum-paced and a compromise among learning self-direction and fixed direction by the teachers with set dates when a course commences and ends, including a number of fixed date events among each course for example fixed dates for the events such as, assignment submission, face-to-face tutorial sessions, the begin and end of on-line conferences, telephone tutorial and examinations.
