Alagappa University Invites application form for admission in Part Time Phd In Library Science. The Department of Library and Information Science began in the year 2006. Since May 2006, the department provides B.L.I.Sc one year programme and M.L.I.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D from the Academic year 2007 – 08. The Department is allowing for hands – on training to the students allowing to the modern technological progresses in the field of library and information science.
Department of Library and Information Science is focusing specialization in the area of Classification, Cataloguing, Digital Library and Softwares, Electronic Resources and Management, Library Automation and Networking, Routine Library Activities, User Study, Metric Studies, Marketing of Information Products and Services, DBMS, Knowledge Management etc.
