PDKV is the short name of Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola was founded on October 20th 1969 with its main office at Akola. This Agricultural University was called after the famous son of Vidarbha Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh, who was the Minister for Agriculture, Govt. of India.
