Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was launched in January 1997 for advancement of Technical Education. The University has total intensity of more than 2.5 lakh students approx. University has launched 12 Regional Centres for M-Tech courses and a school of Total Quality Management (TQM) at Mohali. The University was committed with the obligation of developing the new coevals of technical manpower that can spearhead the industrial development of the State. The University has under its association 288 Colleges providing Courses in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, Medical Lab Technologies & IT disciplines.

Eligibility
The candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree (10+2+3) from a recognized University in any discipline with at least 50% Marks in aggregate.
Selection process
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in Entrance Test: CAT with good score. Candidates short-listed on the basis of Entrance Test score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection.
