Punahou School is a sovereign college preceding day school established in 1841, is situated in lower Manoa Valley, a residential arena of the city of Honolulu. With a registration of over 3,750 in grades K-12, Punahou School is the most prominent coeducational, independent school on a single campus in the United States. A Punahou education is one that is improved by a committal to assisting all students achieve their intellectual, physical, creative and spiritual potential to the fullest degree.
Punahou’s physical education curriculum starts in the Junior School where students learn the grandness of movement by basic locomotors abilities and experience group and individual interactions. The Luke Center for Public Service organizes service and service-learning programs, activities and possibilities within Punahou and the bigger community. The Center also renders guidance and resources to students concerned in formulating their own service projects. The Punahou School extends global education chances for students, including programs in intensive language instruction, study abroad and summer programs, and lectures and seminars.
