Pune University Bioinformatics
The University of Pune was founded in 1949. It located in North Western Pune, is one of India’s premier universities. The Bioinformatics Centre at the University of Pune, (till recently – University of Poona), Pune was launched in 1987 as one of the nine Distributed Information Centres under the Biotechnology Information System (BTIS) of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The Bioinformatics centre (D.I.C) is furnished with state-of-art services and facilitates in terms of hardware, software, information storage and recovery.
