On 25/07/1981Sri Krishnadevaraya University Anantapur Andhra Pradesh was established as a public university. The University is promoting to the cause of higher education by 112 associated degree colleges of which seven are meant exclusively for women. Departments & Faculty at this University like Languages & Literature, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Law and Management. PG courses and research programmes are provided through the University at the University College, Anantapur, and at the Post Graduate centre, Kurnool.
