Sri Sarada College for Women, Salem was begun in the year 1961 as an associated college of the University of Madras; Sri Sarada College is affiliated to the Periyar University, Salem, Tamilnadu, India. It is a Government aided college and accredited for receiving grants from University Grants Commission (U.G.C.). It receives not only annual grants for the functioning of autonomy but also special plan grants. It is sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India New Delhi and recognized by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The college imparts different courses at under graduate, post graduate, doctoral and post doctoral level, under nine modules including Science, Commerce and Management, engineering. & Technology , Education , Medicine & Pharmacy , Ayurvedic Medicine , Arts & fine arts, Mental, Moral & Social Sciences, Law faculty, and computer applications. Sri Sarada College for Women Supplies advanced facilities to its students.
