(TTU) Texas Tech University situated in Lubbock, TX, is one that feels itself on the success of their students. Texas Tech University is one of the best Public schools in the country, and their students are some of the finest as well. Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD) has graduated 176 students during the 2009-2010 year. The yearly commencement ceremony was held on Sunday, May 2nd at the Student Union Building, situated at 15th Street and Akron Avenue. This year, thirty graduates and their families will travel to Lubbock to participate the beginning ceremony. Twelve of these students will be getting their diploma and eighteen will take part as summer school graduates.

This year, the highest GPA in the 2009-2010 graduating class is 4.57, and there are twenty-six students who have a GPA of 4.0 or above. The average GPA is 3.27. The average SAT scores are 570 verbal, 565 math, and 550 writing, and a composite of 1685. The average ACT composite score is 25. All of these scores are above the state and national average. Texas Tech University Independent School District was founded by the State Board of Education in the fall of 1993. TTUISD presently offers educational solutions to students by offering supplemental and home school curriculum extended at a distance.
