Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) guides Civil Services Examinations for several Government jobs in the nation. Civil Services include 23 services of Government of India and Union Territories.The UPSC has grew an application form common for all their examinations which can be processed on computerised machines. This application form along with an Information Brochure containing general directions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated Head Post offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only).

Examination Form should be bought from the denominated Post Offices only and not from any other agency. This form can be used only once time only for one examination. applicant must use the form furnished with the Information Brochure only and they should in no case use photocopy/reproduction/unauthorisedly printed copy of the Form. Since this form is electronically scannable, due care should be taken to fill up the application form, correctly.

All UPSC Exams have a common form where a applicant has to select the exam he/she has applied for. UPSC forms are availability in several designated post offices throughout the nation. applicant have to fill the application forms according to the instructions given in the admission notification published in newspapers.
