Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) was founded through the Uttar Pradesh Govt. on 8/05/2000 vide Act No. 1248(2) XVII-V-I-I-19-2000 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000.
The UPTU is associating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of Uttar Pradesh in associating B.Tech, M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B. Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech. and PhD Programmes in 238 colleges/institutions giving graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level training in whole govt. and private institutions situated everywhere UP.
Uttar Pradesh technical University is conducting State Entrance Examination (SEE UPTU: 2009) on 17th and 18th April, 2010 for admission to degree courses in Engineering (B.Teach.) / Pharmacy (B.Pharm)/ Architecture (B.Arch.) / Hotel management (BHMCT)/ fashion & Apparel Design Technology (BFAD) and Post Graduated Courses MCA/ MBA of Govt. Aided and unaided institutions associated to U.P. Technical university for the academic session 2010-2011.
