The Open University Centre for Law offers the largest qualifying law degree programme in the UK. The Law Society and the General Council of the Bar recognize the Law Degree of the University of London for external students as a “Qualifying Law Degree. Qualifying Law Degree was established for the purposes of completing the Academic Stage of Legal Education for the legal profession in England & Wales. Formerly known as the Law Society Regulation Board, it acts solely in the public interest. The Legal Complaints Service (LCS) is for members of the public wishing to make a complaint about solicitors.
