Raja Ramanna Indore known as Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology was founded through the Department of Atomic Energy; India to expand the activities carried out at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, in 2 frontline fields of science and technology namely Lasers and Accelerators.
The RRCAT campus located at Indore city in Madhya Pradesh state in India.

BARC Training School at RRCAT
The BARC Training School at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology Indore is meant for orienting the trainees recruited by Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post Graduates (OCES) to take up research and growth work in the frontline fields of particle accelerators, lasers, physics, cryogenics, plasma, superconductivity and allied high technology areas in several units of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The training is offered in electronics, physics& electrical subjects at RRCAT Indore.
The training time period is 1 year. The course comprises of lectures, seminars and laboratory work. During the training programme, visits are organized for several DAE units e.g. BARC, TIFR, VECC etc. During the training time period, the trainees are paid a monthly stipend of Rs.20, 000/- and one time book allowance of Rs.5, 000/- .
Ph.D. programme
Raja Ramanna Indore is a Constituent Institute of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a Deemed University offers Ph.D. programme in different specialized fields of chemistry, physics, and biology, listed above. The fellowship amount is Rs. 12000 per month for the 1st 2 years and Rs. 14000 per month for the next 3 years discipline to satisfactory development.
As per the rules of HBNI, the Ph.D. programme consists of course work of time period is 1 year and research work of up to four years duration.
Eligibility
Qualification
For Physics Examinees: M.Sc. degree in Physics/Applied Physics or B. Tech/B.E. degree in Engineering Physics, with a min of 60% marks, and who have cleared Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST 2010).
For Chemistry and Life Sciences candidates: M.Sc. degree with min 60% marks, in Chemistry or Life Sciences, and who have cleared joint CSIR-UGC Net-2009 and/or Gate (2009/ 2010), are qualified to employ.
Age
The examinees desirous of availing DAE fellowship should have been born between 1/04/1992 and 31/03/1985.
