SCB Medical College Cuttack
Introduction
Shri Ramachandra Bhanj Medical College is a government-run medical college in Cuttack in the Indian state of Orissa. The college was launched on June 1, 1944. It was identified in 1951 after the late Maharaja of Mayurbhanj “Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanj”. It is the prime medical institution in Orissa and one of the oldest centers of medical teaching and training in India. Shri Ramachandra Bhanj Medical College has been accepted by MCI (Medical Council of India) as an ideal undergraduate institution facilitating education and training in super specialty subjects under medical and surgical disciplines. The College obtained recognition for MBBS degree from Medical Council of India in the year 1952 with retrospective result.
Admission calendar
New session starts in the month of June-July. First year students are suggested to visit the campus a few days before the start of the session to get accustomed to the place.

Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and English), from any recognized Board.
The candidates appearing for the JEE – Joint Entrance Examination should be XIIth pass and should have secured 50%.
Selection process
Undergraduate Courses
The admission is based on the merit list, which is prepared according to the marks secured by the candidates in qualifying examination and Competitive Entrance Test, conducted by the University.
Post Graduate Courses
The admission is through Orissa Post Graduate medical Examination (50%) and at the national level through AIPGMEE/ All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination
