Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Medical Sciences is the first modernistic medicine Medical College founded under the auspices of the SDM Educational club. Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade has lots of maiden speculations to his credit, which have become known attainments under his scope of social rectifies. His visionary formulation of an ideal Medical College has taken shape at Dharwad. SDM Medical College provides bachelor’s degree courses in MBBS. Admission to this course is attained by a merit list set on the portion of the marks of the examinees in the Common Entrance Test (CET). In this course the reservation available to various reserved categories like SC, ST and OBC is as per the Government of India norms.

Eligibility
A candidate should have passed 10+2 from a authorized board may apply for admissions to the MBBS course; students taking their final of 12th exam may also apply for provisional admissions, subject to clearing all the necessities stated by the various government authorities.
Admission procedure
Admission into MBBS Course would be done by CEE conducted by PSG. P S G provides MBBS & PG Course. A Candidate who has passed his Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology are eligible to apply.

There are 10,000 textbook and recognition scripts, outstanding number of Indian and Foreign journals. The Library has fields distributed for the students and faculty members individually and departments for periodicals, Audio-Visual projection, photocopiers and browsing centre.
