SET 2010 Maharashtra State Eligibility Test
Introduction
Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET) is an examination for qualification of lecturership in Universities and Institutes of Maharashtra. University Grants commission (UGC) has authorized the State Governments/State Offices on interest of the State Governments to conduct the State Eligibility Test (SET) for lectureship.
Eligibility criteria
The Candidates should have complete Masters Degree with at least 55% total marks (50% for ST/ST/PH/VH). The Candidates can only come out for SET in the subject in which they have done Masters.
Examination Pattern
Papers – 3
Paper 1 – Objective Questions (Teaching and Research Aptitude)
Paper 2 – Objective Questions (Post Graduation subject)
Paper 3 – Short and Long Questions (Post Graduation subject)
Time Limit
Paper 1 & 2 – 75 Minutes (50 Questions of 100 marks)
Paper 3 – 2 and a half hours Duration (200 Marks)
How to Apply
The Candidates have to apply online by the official website. Later on applying online candidates have to accept a print out of the satisfied form and send it along with a Demand Draft and copies of necessary paperses to University of Pune.
