Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P.Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) developed rapidly in eminence from one of the three B-schools in the nation in 1981 to one of the top ten B-schools in the nation by 1994-1995. After then, it has continued to retain this position with ease during the last decade. The bold move to disaffiliate SPJIMR from the then Bombay University to have freedom in course curriculum, pedagogic innovations and opening up programmers in socially under handled sectors was a beginning of its journey to attain the mandate it has given itself in terms of specific innovative and distinct path in management teaching.
FMB
Family Managed Business (FMB) is a specific program opened up by SPJIMR (S.P. Jain Institute of management & Research) way back in 1997. It is an 18 month Management Programme for youngsters from business families. It is a solution to the dilemma of whether to pursue MBA or to join the family business, by retaining the merits of both at the same time.
Eligibility
The FMB Programme is open to graduate family members with a significant stake in the family business. Sponsorship by the business is necessity. Selection is by assessment of the application followed by a test and personal interview.
Admission
The achievement of the person in the tests and interview is the main consideration for selection. Past academic record and work experience will be advantageous, but are not requisites.
Fee
The total fees for the program are Rs. 7 lacs, excluding hostel, domestic and international travel and any other incidental expenses.
