Introduction
The S.R.M University is part of the 35 year old SRM Group of Educational Institutions, supported by the Valliammai Society. The University is located in three different serene and green decorated fields. The Kattankulathur Campus offers all the three Faculties including of Engineering and Technology, the faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, the College of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Science & Humanities. The Valliammai Society commenced its educational activities with a humble beginning in 1969 by beginning a Primary School in the name of Florence Nightingale and raising the same to the status of Matriculation Higher Secondary School in the year 1981.

Approximately there are 10,000 textbook and acknowledgment scripts, prominent number of Indian and Foreign journals. The Library has fields distributed for the students and faculty members individually and departments for periodicals, Audio-Visual projection, photocopiers and browsing centre.
Faculty
The faculty members also undertake problem solving studies in different aspects of research. They also conduct research and project based studies.
Admission procedure
Admission into MBBS Course would be done by CEE conducted by PSG. P S G provides MBBS & PG Course. A Candidate who has passed his Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology are eligible to apply.
