this university must be a highly prestigious one. no doubs on that.
but it is shocking and highly disappointing to note that, the customer service and response to applicants is so very poor.
the contact numbers they have given on their website are 75% faulty,
You call the admissions department, and you get connected to the transport wing, where the person answering the phone knows no language other than tamil. then one let goes of one mistake, and calls to the alternate number given in bold, the person answering the call says this is hostel ( in tamil) and just cuts the call.
You want to speak to the dean of admission, who is supposed to be in his/her office during the office timings which is from 9:00 am until evening, but he/she is available only in the afternoon 1:30.
You speak to the secretary to the dean of admissions, and you get such a cold response, that one would wonder why they ever applied to this college. She just cuts the phone abruptly, when she doesnt want to talk any more! [ this is not only in her case, but most of the officers answering the call}
you’re asked to correspond through emails, with the dean of admissions, but u send the same mail continuously for 2 weeks! n yet no response.
this is nothing but amazing and highly satisfying yeah?
other universities, not so well known in fact, have much better response and services. hope that, people concerned will train them on how to handle calls with more respect, lest the university lose some highly qualified or talented candidates.
