Eligibility
The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University specifies the following Eligibility criteria for admission to the BDS course:
Student with 50% marks on aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/Zoology) and English at the qualifying examination at the end of 12 years of study for all categories except for scheduled caste and tribe who are eligible with 40% aggregate.
Graduate students should have one of the following subjects as major viz.Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or should have passed the earlier qualifying examination with the above subjects.
Students who have studied abroad, the equivalency of qualification as determined by the affiliation of Indian Universities and should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English up to 12th standard with 50% marks.
Student should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or finish the age on or before 31st December of the years of admission to the first year BDS course.
Admission procedures
qualified student as stipulated by The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R MEDICAL UNIVERSITY can get the application forms from the Trust office or College office and apply along with the copies of their mark sheets of the 10th and 12th exams, Transfer Certificate, Age proof and Community certificate (For Scheduled Class and Scheduled Tribes), migration certificate (in case of students from other states). The student will be selected on the basis of their performance in their 12th exams.
Student from other states and nations should get their eligibility certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R MEDICAL UNIVERSITY before applying.
