TD Medical College
Introduction
The T.D.Medical College is located in the suburban area of Vandanam, 9 km south of the Alappuzha (previously Alleppey) town, facing the NH 47, in Alappuzha district of Kerala State, South India. The College demonstrated in 1963 in the private sector was considered over by the government in 1972. It is the fourth Medical College in the state. The District Hospital Alappuzha is used as Medical College Hospital for the objective training of students. The total bed strength in Medical College Hospital, Alappuzha is 844 and at Medical College Hospital, Vandanam 82. The T D Medical College (TDMC), Alappuzha provides several courses in different specialties of medical science to the students of Kerala at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The main course proposed by the college is the UG course of MBBS, in which the college admits a total of hundred students every year. The college is also the first medical college in Kerala that began under private management.

Admission procedure
The college management picks out students for the MBBS degree course by merit on the basis of the Entrance test conducted by the Kerala State Board of Entrance examinations. 25% seats of the course are filled up on the basis of All India Entrance Examination.
