The student should have cleared up 10+2 or its equal examination with at least 50% marks, from an accepted Board, accepted by Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Tamilnadu. The student should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, (Botany & Zoology) or Computer Science subjects in 12th. He/she had better at least 17 years old.

The hopefuls ought to have cleared senior secondary examination with lower limit of 45% marks carried either by government of Tamilnadu or a board that is accepted by Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
