The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) arrived into organism on June 1, 1971. TNAU presumed full responsibilities of Agricultural Education and Research and defended the State Agricultural Department by delivering research products. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has its starting in the organization of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai during 1868 which was later resettled at Coimbatore. Since the inception of TNAU, 11,973 Undergraduates, 4465 Masters Students and 1152 Doctoral students received their degree from TNAU.
