UCIL Turamdih
UCIL Turamdih
Uranium Corporation of India Limited was organized on 4th October 1967. UCIL takes its commitments and obligations very seriously. The Corporation is dedicated to preserving efficient, cost-effective and environment-friendly operations in excavation and processing plants all over India. UCIL has two processing plants at Jaduguda and Turamdih and a forthcoming milling project at Tummalepalle in Andra Pradesh.
Turmadih Mines
UCIL Turamdih uranium deposit is situated about 24km west of Jaduguda. This mine was accredited in 2003. The ore from Jaduguda, Bhatin and Narwapahar Mine are processed in the centralized processing plant (Mill) located close to Jaduguda Mine. A new plant at Turamdih has been set up to treat the ore produced from Turamdih and Banduhurang mines.
This plant is below expansion to treat additional ore. A very high degree of instrumentation has been covered that includes PLC based control system. However, taking account of developments in hydrometallurgy / processing technology universal, some effective equipment like forestage feeders, particle size monitors, horizontal belt filter, pressure filter etc have been incorporated in this plant.
