Veer Narmad South Gujarat University or VNSGU Surat, situated at Udhana-Magdalla road in Surat is a semi-urban university. It launched under the South Gujarat University Act, 1965, it has been running as a university from the year 1966.It had been recognized as South Gujarat University till 2004 when it was named as Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. The university has a wide scope of programs that are instructed in its different departments.The university began working on the premise of the Sarvajanik College of Education. In July 1967 the office moved to the Khandwala Bungalow in Athwa Lines.
